Academic Hospitalist Position Available at Division of Hospital Medicine at Denver Health and the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center
ACADEMIC HOSPITALIST - The Division of Hospital Medicine at Denver Health and the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center are recruiting a Hospitalist at Denver Health. This academic position emphasizes clinical research in addition to patient care and resident training. Additionally, there is protected time for research activities.
In addition to the opportunity to practice general inpatient medicine at the nation's top Safety Net hospital, working with residents, students, and midlevel practitioners in a vibrant and dedicated academic Hospitalist group, applicants have the chance to join a nationally unique sub-specialty practice. The ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders at Denver Health is a small inpatient unit, located within the hospital, that provides multidisciplinary medical stabilization for the nation's most medically compromised patients with anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. A small number of hospitalist physicians in the group attend upon these patients, having unparalleled clinical, academic, and professional development opportunities while continuing to practice general medicine, under the mentorship of the world's authority in this field, Philip S. Mehler, MD, CEDS, FAED, who is also the Chief Medical Officer of Denver Health.

Clinical Director @ Cedar Springs Austin Eating Disorder Center
Status: Full Time (salaried)
Reports to: Executive Director
Duties include:
Coordinate overall programming for partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs for eating disorder treatment center
Maintain a minimum caseload of patients and therapy groups; lead weekly community group
Provide meal support at meals/snacks at least 1x week
Supervise therapists and graduate interns; provide regular supervision time for therapists and interns; provide reviews for supervisees
Serve as a liaison between treatment facility and graduate program(s)
Manage staffing schedules
Provide support in the absence of clinical staff; coordinate crisis management; assign on-call rotation
Oversee assessment process and assign patients to therapists; provide assessments
Collaborate with admission & case management coordinator, business office and leadership team re: new admissions and discharge planning
Manage administrative and AMA discharges from facility
Attend weekly clinical staff meetings
Serve on the leadership team and participate in weekly leadership meetings
Collaborate with the executive director on special projects
Provide presentations in the community as needed
Other requirements:
Experience in treating eating disorders in treatment center setting
Experience in supervising therapists
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
Fully licensed in Texas as psychologist, LMFT, LPC or LCSW
