Additionally, as professionals trying to help these men and women, we may find ourselves experiencing much of the same confusion.
How do we help them recover a sense of who they are from a Biblical perspective?
Do we build self-esteem or rebuke dangerous behaviors and outright denial?
Do we encourage them to love themselves or practice self-denial?
As a Christian professional or ministry leader, you need a Biblical foundation to navigate through these issues.
Hungry for Hope: Restoring Identity is a conference designed to equip you in the areas of body image and disordered eating with a special focus on the role of identity in recovery. Held June 3 - 5, 2009, this event will take place at historic Glen Eyrie, a Christian retreat center and home of Navigators in Colorado Springs.
