Linden Oaks receives Gold Seal of Approval from Joint Commission

Linden Oaks receives Gold Seal of Approval from Joint Commission

Linden Oaks at Edward has been awarded the Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission for a commitment to excellence in four disease management programs: Addiction Services, Eating Disorders, Geriatrics and Self-Injury.

The Joint Commission is an independent, not-for-profit organization that accredits and certifies more than 15,000 healthcare companies and programs in the United States.

"The competitive nature of today's healthcare market generates a need for organizations to find ways to distinguish themselves as centers of excellence for patient services and patient care," said Lou Mastro, CEO of Linden Oaks at Edward. "This certification is proof of our dedication to patients and our commitment to providing exceptional care."

The Disease-Specific Care Certification Program is designed to evaluate disease management and chronic care services that are provided by direct care providers such as hospitals and home care vendors, as well as health plans and disease management service companies. Centers are evaluated objectively on their methods of delivering clinical care, their clinical practices and their organized approach to performance measurement to monitor quality outcomes.

"The journey to the Disease-Specific Certification process required the commitment of the entire team of each program and the support of the whole hospital," Mastro said. "We're honored to be recognized as a Center of Excellence."

Linden Oaks at Edward is a 110-bed behavioral health facility, located on the campus of Edward Hospital in Naperville, that uses a combination of inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and traditional outpatient programs to treat adolescents, adults and older adults.
