Choosing the Right Level of Eating Disorder Treatment

A MentorCONNECT Teleconference with Dr. Jennifer Nardozzi, PsyD

Houston, July 25, 2011 - Accepting the need for treatment to combat an eating disorder is a very difficult and fearful first step for anyone who struggles with this disease.  What that next step will be is the topic for the next in the series of FREE monthly teleconferences hosted by MentorCONNECT, the first the first online global eating disorder mentoring community. 

On Wednesday, August 10 at 8pm CST, Dr. Jennifer Nardozzi, PsyD, who specializes in treating those with eating disorders and the National Training Manager for the Renfrew Center, will guide the listening audience through the different levels of eating disorder treatment.  The objective is for those in struggle, or those who have a loved one in struggle, can better understand what might be the right course of action to take.   

Knowing how challenging this decision can be, during the 75 minute teleconference, Dr. Nardozzi hopes to simplify and compassionately address common initial such as, "Where do I begin?", "What questions should I ask a treatment center?", "What do all these treatment terms really mean?"  And a great deal more.   

"I wholeheartedly acknowledge the courage it takes to reach out for help, so my intention for the evening teleconference is to provide direction in order to get that help," says Dr. Nardozzi, "Whether this is the first time seeking treatment, or having gone through the process and wanting a fresh start, it is paramount one find the right level of treatment in order to move through their healthy recovery process."
