What do you think about this article regarding an older woman(60+) who struggled with anorexia/bulimia for most of her life and is finally now recovering?

Check out the article at this url:

The outlook isn't particularly optimistic.

``Only about 40 to 50 percent fully recover. The rest don't,'' Ice said.

How depressing is that?!?!?!? I keep asking myself...what if I am one of those people that won't recover from this? What if I am one of those that is going to struggle with this the rest of my life? What kind of life is that? Do I really want a life that is like that? I want more out of life then a life that is defined by an eating disorder.

How do you get to be the lucky 40 or 50% that do recover? What makes it work for them and not for the rest?

just rambling...but if anyone has answers...that would be great!
